Immunizations

Students entering the 7th grade must be in compliance with the NJ Department of Health (Chapter 14, N.J.A.C 8:57-4) with their immunizations.

As of May 2026, the guidance from the state of NJ has just been updated regarding the Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines. The NJDOH shifted enforcement (of the adolescent vaccines previously required for 6th grade) to 7th grade because it aligns with the latter end of the recommended age range. The Tdap and MCV vaccine requirements will now be enforced at 7th-grade entry. The clinical recommendation for these vaccines remains 11–12 years of age (though they may be given as early as age 10). If your child has not had their 11th year old well visit yet, we recommend you consult with their pediatrician about when they would like your child to receive them.

Failure to comply, puts your child at risk for exclusion from school.

If you need any assistance with making a vaccine appointment or currently do not have health insurance, please contact the nurse's office.
